Kris Smith carries on the legacy of his family, whose deep roots in the equine world extend back decades. Kris’s parents, Ray and Terrie Smith, own and operate the Cook Forest Scenic Trail Ride, Dude Ranch & Campground – a true haven for horse lovers. Spanning 32 acres of shaded woodlands on the Southern border of the Allegheny National Forest, the campground offers riders the unique opportunity to explore Northwestern Pennsylvania’s remote trails. Guests can bring their own horses or rent from the Smith family for an unforgettable ride through the picturesque landscape.

The weekends are filled with fun, excitement and plenty of horses. The weekend kicks off with a preview on Friday night.
